Mistress Penelope Vexx

“I am Mistress Penelope.

Not the maiden of myths, no—we’ve outgrown those tired tales of waiting women. I don’t weave tapestries for absent men. I spin webs for the ones who think they’re in control.

You don’t approach me. You’re summoned. And when you arrive, late or trembling, I’ll decide if you’re worth the weight of my gaze.

There is beauty in restraint, and power in silence. I do not raise my voice—I don’t need to. The air bends around my presence. Eyes lower. Knees follow.

You may call me cruel. Most do. But even cruelty, in the right hands, is art.

So speak when I permit it. Kneel when I command it. And remember—you are here because I allow it.

Not the other way around.”
