I'm a single mom in my 50s, a teacher, and someone who spends most of my life being responsible for everyone else.

The truth is, I don’t have the luxury of starting over with a blank slate. I still have a teenager at home, dogs that need to be walked, bills that show up every month, and a life that's very real and sometimes overwhelming.

But somewhere along the way I realized something: waiting for the perfect time to start living authentically might mean waiting forever.

So this space is about figuring it out in real time — balancing responsibility with freedom, motherhood with rediscovering myself, and the messy middle of midlife.
